Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026 · Effective immediately upon use
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you,” “user,” “creator,” or “member”) and the operator of SovereignStream (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the platform creator, owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates (collectively, “Protected Parties”). The Service includes sovereignstream.org, related web apps, progressive web apps (PWAs), iOS/Android applications, APIs, and related products.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any Community Standards published in-app. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and identity
You must be at least 13 years old. You must provide an accurate birthdate. Certain features (posting, messaging, live, payouts, uploads) require government ID verification and may require additional authentication. Accounts for users under 18 (13–17) are restricted: adult/sexual content, adult profiles, and 18+ live rooms are blocked; purchases of tips, Super Replies, subscriptions, store items, and platform products are limited to users 18+.
Child sexual exploitation and any sexual content involving minors (real or fictional) is strictly prohibited and will be removed, accounts may be deactivated, and matters may be reported to authorities as required by law.
1A. Adult entertainment
Consensual adult sexual content is permitted only for users 18+ when clearly labeled and kept off Safe / main feeds. Creators are solely responsible for legal compliance (including age verification of performers where required). Under-18 users cannot view, create, purchase, follow, or message adult entertainment accounts. Multi-party adult content may require tagging and consent of participants before publication.
2. Accounts and security
- You are solely responsible for credentials, device security, and all activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information; keep email and recovery methods current.
- Do not impersonate others, sell accounts, or create accounts for abuse, fraud, or evasion of bans.
- You may delete your account in Settings, subject to legal retention and payment reconciliation.
- We may require re-verification at any time and may suspend accounts pending review.
3. Acceptable use and Community Standards
You agree not to, and not to assist others to:
- Post illegal content, including content that exploits or endangers minors
- Harass, threaten, stalk, dox, or incite violence
- Distribute malware, spam, scams, phishing, or coordinated inauthentic behavior
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks, publicity, privacy, or other rights
- Break into, scrape excessively, reverse engineer (except as mandatory law allows), or disrupt the Service
- Evade bans, rate limits, age gates, identity checks, or moderation actions
- Process unlawful payments, money laundering, or fraud
- Misuse AI systems, automated tools, or APIs in ways that harm users or the Service
We provide reporting tools and human-assisted moderation. Automated systems assist but do not guarantee perfect classification. Enforcement may include labels, removal, feature limits, suspension, or permanent deactivation.
4. AI moderation, verification, and automated decisions
The Service uses an AI Safety / operations agent (and related automation) that may, without prior notice to you:
- Review content, reports, messages (for safety), and identity applications
- Approve, reject, or request more information on identity / verification applications
- Set deadlines (including a seven (7) day period after certain approvals) to complete verification; failure may result in automatic profile deactivation
- Apply labels, hide content from Safe feeds, quarantine messages, or deactivate profiles for violations of these Terms or Community Standards
- Generate operational reports for the platform creator and administrators
Human override: The platform creator and designated administrators may review and override any AI decision (including reinstating accounts, reversing removals, or changing verification status). AI may not permanently override the creator’s authority. Secondary admins act within permissions granted by the creator.
You acknowledge that automated decisions may occasionally err; your remedies are limited as set out in these Terms. Where required by law, you may contact us to request human review of a significant automated decision affecting access to the Service.
5. Your content and license
You retain ownership of content you create. By posting or uploading, you grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for format), display, perform, distribute, and process that content solely to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Service (including encoding, thumbnails, ranking, delivery, backups, and legal compliance).
You represent and warrant that you have all rights needed to grant this license and that your content does not violate law or these Terms. You are solely responsible for your content and interactions.
6. Live streaming and media
Live streaming requires camera/microphone permissions. You are solely responsible for what you broadcast. We may end streams, remove media, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or create legal risk.
7. Payments and creator earnings
- Tips, Super Replies, Circles, subscriptions, store, ads, and platform products may use Stripe or other processors.
- Creators must complete Connect (or equivalent) onboarding before payouts.
- Platform fees apply on supported destination charges and similar marketplace payments. Math: platform fee % + your keep % = 100%. The standard platform fee is 30%, so you keep 70% of eligible proceeds (before processor/tax costs). If you purchase a fee promo (or Pro Creator while it lowers your fee to the promo rate), the promotional platform fee is 20%, so you keep 80% while that promo is active. Site-wide campaigns, referrals, or other offers may also change your rate while active.
- Fees and percentages are subject to change at SovereignStream’s sole discretion, including based on business needs, market trends, operating costs, product changes, legal/compliance requirements, or other factors. We may update standard fees, promotional fees, discounts, floors, or fee structures at any time. Material changes may be communicated via the Service, Settings, email, or an updated Terms page; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the then-current fees where permitted by law.
- Taxes are your responsibility. Refunds are case-by-case and subject to processor rules.
- We may hold, reverse, or refuse transactions for fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or legal risk.
- Processors may restrict adult businesses; compliance is the creator’s responsibility.
8. Advertising
We may reject or remove ads that are misleading, illegal, or harmful. Sponsored placements may appear in feeds. Advertisers are solely responsible for ad content and compliance with law.
9. Intellectual property of the Service
The SovereignStream name, logos, software, UI, ranking systems, and documentation are owned by us or licensors. No rights are granted except as expressly stated. Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.
10. Third-party services
The Service integrates third parties (e.g. Stripe, LiveKit, email, hosting, AI providers, app stores). Their terms and privacy policies govern their processing. We are not liable for third-party outages or decisions.
11. Push notifications and communications
If you enable notifications, you consent to receive push and in-app messages about activity, security, and product updates on web (PC) and mobile. You may disable notifications in Settings or device OS settings. Delivery is not guaranteed and depends on browsers, OS, and network conditions.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PROTECTED PARTIES DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, perfect moderation, accuracy of user content, or that the Service will meet your expectations.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PROTECTED PARTIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION; ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, CONTENT, PAYMENTS, MODERATION, AI DECISIONS, OR THESE TERMS — WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE PROTECTED PARTIES FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO THE COMPANY FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law (e.g. certain personal injury or fraud claims where prohibition is absolute).
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Protected Parties from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your content or conduct; (b) your violation of these Terms or law; (c) your infringement of third-party rights; (d) disputes with other users; (e) taxes or regulatory obligations related to your activity; or (f) misuse of payments or the Service. We may assume exclusive defense at your expense; you will cooperate fully.
15. Release of user disputes
You release the Protected Parties from claims arising out of disputes between users (including creators and fans). If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code §1542 (and similar laws) to the extent permitted.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access immediately for violations, legal risk, security, non-payment, extended inactivity after verification deadlines, or to protect users or the Service — including via AI-assisted enforcement subject to human override by the creator/admins. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including licenses for operational copies, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms) survive termination.
17. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes may be notified in-app or by email when practical. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
18. Dispute resolution; governing law; arbitration
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law of your residence requires otherwise.
Informal resolution first: Before filing a claim, you agree to contact support@sovereignstream.org and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
Binding arbitration / class waiver (to the extent permitted by law): Except for (i) small-claims court matters, (ii) intellectual property injunctions, or (iii) claims that cannot be arbitrated under mandatory law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its consumer/commercial rules. YOU AND WE WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION to the maximum extent permitted by law. If the class waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) may proceed in court. Venue for any court proceedings that are permitted shall be state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, unless mandatory law requires another forum for consumers.
19. Export, sanctions, and app stores
You must comply with export control and sanctions laws. App Store / Google Play terms also apply when you obtain the app from those stores; in case of conflict with store-required terms for distribution, those store terms control solely as required for distribution.
20. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: These Terms + Privacy Policy + in-app policies are the entire agreement.
- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
- No waiver: Failure to enforce is not a waiver.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign to an affiliate or successor.
- Force majeure: We are not liable for delays beyond reasonable control.
- Notices: We may notify you via the Service, account email, or site posting.
- Headings: For convenience only.
