Child Safety Standards

SovereignStream is committed to protecting children and teens. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and any sexual content involving minors (anyone under 18). This page describes our standards, product controls, and how to report abuse. It is intended for users, parents, app stores (including Google Play), and law enforcement.
1. Age requirements
- Minimum age: Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Birthdate required at registration; under-13 accounts are not permitted.
- Users 13–17 remain on a Safe feed. Adult / mature entertainment content is blocked for them and they cannot opt into adult surfaces.
- Adult entertainment and related features are restricted to verified 18+ users only.
- If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we will take action, including removal of the account.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE / CSAM
The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension or ban, content removal, and reporting to authorities where required:
- Any sexual content (real or fictional) involving anyone under 18
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
- Grooming, solicitation, or sexual exploitation of minors
- Sharing, requesting, or linking to such material
- Attempts to bypass age or safety filters to contact minors for sexual purposes
3. Product safety controls
- Identity verification: Government ID review supports trust and reduces anonymous abuse. Admins review submissions; AI may assist triage but does not auto-ban without human process for critical decisions.
- Age-gated content: Adult-only media and live rooms are hidden from under-18 accounts.
- Messaging limits: Under-18 users are restricted from messaging adult-entertainment profiles (and the reverse).
- Reporting: Users can report posts, profiles, and messages for review.
- AI Safety Agent: Automated scanning may flag high-risk posts and DMs (including child-safety signals) for human moderators.
- Moderation tools: Administrators can review reports, suspend accounts, and remove content.
- Encrypted DMs: Direct messages are encrypted at rest; safety systems may still evaluate content at send time to protect users.
4. How to report child safety concerns
In the app / website
- Open the content, profile, or conversation.
- Use Report (or equivalent) and choose the closest category (e.g. illegal / harassment / child safety).
- Add details if prompted so moderators can act quickly.
By email (including if you cannot use the app)
Email: support@sovereignstream.org with subject line Child safety report.
Please include when possible:
- URLs, usernames, or screenshots of the content
- Approximate date/time
- Your contact email for follow-up
We prioritize child-safety reports and aim to review them as quickly as possible.
5. Law enforcement and mandatory reporting
Where required by law, we will preserve and provide information to law enforcement and designated authorities (including NCMEC CyberTipline reports for CSAM when applicable under U.S. law). Law enforcement may contact us at support@sovereignstream.org with a formal request and appropriate legal process.
6. Parent and guardian guidance
- SovereignStream is not designed for children under 13.
- Teens 13–17 should use the Safe feed; adult content is blocked by design for those accounts.
- Parents who believe a minor under 13 has an account should email us for removal.
- For general online safety resources, see also NCMEC and local child-protection organizations.
7. Standards alignment
These standards support compliance with app store policies on child safety and CSAE, including Google Play’s requirements related to child sexual abuse and exploitation. We continue to improve detection, reporting, and response processes as the platform grows.
